Stay outside: Patients of Bannu hospital suffer

The patients at Women and Children Hospital Bannu are being forced to stay outside the premises due to lack of beds and doctors. A patient told the media most of them hail from Bannu and North Waziristan Agency. Patients complained rickshaw drivers park their vehicles inside the hospital premises as the rickshaw stand near the hospital has been demolished. This adds to congestion, they said. Moreover, the poor standard of hygiene maintained at the hospital was making the patients sicker, said one person waiting to be treated there. Local representatives have urged the provincial government to take action and improve the condition of the hospital.
