Land dispute: Four killed in Urmar village
A villager said they met on a road by chance and opened fire on each other

At least four people were killed when two rival groups opened fire on each other in Urmar Mayana village on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday. According to Urmar police, three people who were killed—Sabir Rehman, Haji Rehman and their guest Zar Shah—belonged to one of the groups while the fourth person, identified as Abid, belonged to the other group. “The deceased had a dispute over the ownership of Shamilat land (huge tracts of wasteland owned by the community),” a villager told The Express Tribune. “They met on a road by chance and opened fire on each other. As a result, four people died.”
