Fighting terrorism: Romania acknowledges Pakistan’s role
The first Pakistani speaker to visit the country, shared the grief of European citizens who lost their lives

Romania acknowledges Pakistan’s contribution in global efforts for eradication of terror, the speaker of Romanian parliament Valeriu Zgonea said. “We are with Pakistanis; cruelty against innocent citizens must not go unpunished,” he said during a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. According to a message received here from Bucharest, Sadiq underlined the need for expansion and diversification of parliamentary and commercial relations between Pakistan and Romania. Sadiq, the first Pakistani speaker to visit the country, shared the grief of European citizens who lost their lives in recent wave of terror attacks in France and Belgium. He termed terrorism a threat to the global peace and called for coordinated efforts to eradicate terrorism.
