Traffic issues: Police recommend relocation of schools

Police say schools vehicles also create difficulties whenever there is a VIP movement

RAWALPINDI:

Rawalpindi City Traffic Police (CTP) have recommended to the district administration to relocate three major private schools from Peshawar Road to some other location due to traffic issues as well as the security concerns.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Shoaib Khurram Janbaz has written to the district coordination officer asking for cancellation of NOCs for the schools at their current location. Police say the schools do not have their own parking and pick-and-drop vehicles parked on the road hinder smooth flow of traffic on the road.

Police say schools vehicles also create difficulties whenever there is a VIP movement. CTO has requested the administration to cancel the schools’ NOCs at the current location and direct them to relocate.
