Damaging repute: Case sought against TV anchor
Anas said the anchor had later maligned the restaurant’s repute on Facebook
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge sought comments on Saturday from the Gulberg SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking registration of a case against a TV anchorperson for misleading the public about a restaurant he works for. Major (r) Muhammad Anas, the senior administration and security manager at the restaurant, submitted that a few days ago, a Punjab Food Authority had raided the restaurant in Liberty area. He said that during the inspection, the TV anchor and 14 other people had also entered the restaurant and started harassing the staff. Anas said the anchor had later maligned the restaurant’s repute on Facebook. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against the anchor and his “henchmen”.
