Inquiry Needed: SHRD condemns ban on Jami Chandio

HYDERABAD:
The Sindh Human Rights Defenders (SHRD), a non-profit organisation working to protect human rights, has condemned the reported ban on activist and intellectual Jami Chandio on delivering lectures in Punjab. The interior ministry reportedly banned Chandio because he allegedly spoke against the ideology of Pakistan during a lecture in Punjab. The SHRD’s executive advocate Ali Palh requested the centre to withdraw the ban and initiate an inquiry into the matter.
