PESHAWAR:
Police arrested a suspected militant from Charsadda Bus Stand in the city Thursday night.
A TT pistol and two hand grenades were seized from him. Also, a letter pad bearing the letterhead of a banned outfit was confiscated.
The suspect was identified as Sahib Gul, son of Mian Gul, a resident of Mohmand Agency. A police official told The Express Tribune the suspect who is in his mid-40s was at Charsadda Bus Stand when he was arrested.
“The man told us there were murder FIRs against him in Badabher, Chamkani and another police station,” he added. Police believed the arrested individual was affiliated with a banned outfit and was also involved in extortion. “Only an investigation will reveal further details,” he said.
