Boat club, sailing school inaugurated

The corps commander said the boat club would also provide recreational facilities

Corps Commander Lieutenant General Ashfaq Nadeem Ahmad inaugurated the Chenab Boat Club and a training school on Friday.

The school will train civilians on use of boats for rescue operations in times of floods.

“The boat club is a gift from Pakistan Army for the people of south Punjab,” the corps commander said after inaugurating the facility near Qasim Bela.

The corps commander said the boat club would also provide recreational facilities. He said Army Jawans would train people in the use of boats at the training school.

'Rowing standards in Pakistan have improved'

 

“They will help them learn the use of boats. This skill will help them rescue people in times of emergencies,” he said. A large number of people from Multan were present.
