Mouth-watering: Regional food festival kicks off

The event was attended by a large number of people

PESHAWAR:
A four-day regional food festival kicked off in the city Thursday night. A variety of cuisines from across the country were put on display at a restaurant in Pearl Continental. The festival was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. The CM said such initiatives will help promote harmony among all provinces. The event was attended by a large number of people. Dr Uzma, a resident of Peshawar, said such programmes provide “a breath of fresh air” amid the violence and unrest that has gripped the province. Pearl Continental General Manager Shehryar Mirza said the festival represents a “softer image of the city” and will continue to be organised in future. The food festival will conclude on March 27.
