Positive Contribution: 24 people conferred civil honours
Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan and provincial ministers attended the ceremony

Governor Rafique Rajwana conferred civil awards on 24 people on behalf of President Mamnoon Hussain on the occasion of Pakistan Day at a ceremony at Governor’s House on Wednesday. Seven people were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz, 13 received Presidential Award for Pride of Performance while four were awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz. Professor Talat Naseer Pasha, Dr Arshad Ali, Dr Shahbaz Malik, Mian Ejazul Haq, Masood Asher, Khalid Tareen and Muhammad Sheheryar Sultan received Sitara-i-Imtiaz. Nazir Ahmad, Ikramullah, Ahmad Saeed, Muhammad Zikriya Zakir, Amir Sohail, Wajahat Masood, Wasif Nagi, Munir Ahmad Munir, Masood Ather, Khalid Saleem Butt, Waseem Abbas, Ustad Nathu Khan (late) and Ejaz Qaiser were awarded the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance. Muhammad Ali, Najeebuddin Jamal, Jameel Ather Qazi and HK Zahid received Tamgha-i-Imtiaz. Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan and provincial ministers attended the ceremony.
