Regularisation of employees: CDA given three days to settle issue
The court while accepting the request granted three days’ time and adjourned the case till March 28
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to settle down the regularisation issue of 12 employees of the civic body within three days. A division bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb granted the time to CDA officials on their request during the hearing of the CDA’s intra-court appeal in the matter. The counsel for the employees, Syed Khawar Ameer Bukhari, said that the court had ordered to regularise the employees in 2013 but the decision was challenged and since then they have been facing the legal battle. When the case was taken up, the CDA counsel requested the court to grant a few days time to settle the issue. The court while accepting the request granted three days’ time and adjourned the case till March 28.
