NEW DELHI:
As a National Award-winning actor, Kangana Ranaut is no stranger to the limelight. She has impressed cinemagoers around the world with her versatile acting and always enthralled fans with her gutsy plainspeak. This time, the ‘Queen’ of Bollywood has expressed her opinions on the modern woman who, she believes, is smart and confident with a “strong sense of identity.”
According to Ranaut, the women of today are eager to make their own mark on the world. “They are no longer allowing anything to define them, apart from their own self-expression,” said the actor. “Modern women are smart, confident and independent with their own opinions and sense of identity. Today’s women know how to express themselves and carry their attitudes with unmatched style,” Ranaut added.

With plenty of meaty roles and a head-turning eye for fashion already under her belt, Ranaut has taken the next step forward with her association with a trendy Indian ethnic-wear brand. Talking about her own style sensibility, Ranaut said, “Style is a way of expressing oneself and my style should tell the world who I am. I just need to be comfortable and confident in what I wear and that’s half the battle won.”
According to the 28-year-old, change is a constant in fashion across the world. “There are no hard and fast rules that I play by. My sensibility is all about boho-chic,” Kangana said, adding that modern women are much more fashion forward and confident in the way they dress. “They are experimenting and moving forward with styles, looking fresher and edgier. But, most of all, they’re reinventing styles with confidence,” added Ranaut.
