Police have arrested the brother of a slain gangster of Karachi from Lasbela district of Balochistan. Hamid Amir, brother of Arshad Pappu, was arrested after a brief shootout in Hub Town Saturday night.
According to a police source, Amir is wanted in several criminal cases.

Arshad Pappu led a notorious gang in the densely populated Lyari neighbourhood of Karachi until 2013 when he was killed along with his brother and an associate in a firing incident. He was wanted in murder, attempted murder and kidnapping cases, and carried a bounty of Rs2 million on his head.
Acting on a tip-off, the Lasbela police raided a compound in Hub where Hamid Amir was hiding. Amir refused to turn himself in and instead opened fire on the police. He didn’t have enough ammunition to hold off the police for too long. Subsequently, he was arrested.
According to a police source, Amir is wanted in several criminal cases.
