US completes funds transfer to Pakistan
ISLAMABAD:
The US has completed transfer of over $600 million to Pakistan from the Coalition Support Fund (CSF).
A press statement issued by the US Embassy says the monetary support will help in achieving the mutually shared goals of peace and stability in Pakistan and in the region.
The Coalition Support Fund was set up by the United States in 2001 to support 27 nations, including Pakistan, for some of their costs in the fight against terror. The last payment was delivered to Pakistan in January.
More CSF claims are being processed and may result in additional payments.
