Tragedy On The Highway : Bus-van collision leaves six dead

The victims were labourers who travelled to Karachi to find work daily

HYDERABAD: A road accident between a passenger bus and a van in Thatta district on Friday left six people dead and 20 injured. A passenger bus travelling from Karachi to Badin reportedly collided head-on with the van near Dhabeji, a rural town in Thatta near Karachi. People travelling on the National Highway shifted the injured to a hospital in Gulshan-i-Hadeed. Three of the deceased have been identified as van driver Muzaffar Shaikh, Shakeel and Sanjeela. Five persons among the injured were said to be in critical condition. They were shifted to Civil Hospital, Karachi. The deceased and injured reportedly belong to Ghareeabad village of Dhabeji town. The victims were labourers who travelled to Karachi to find work daily. The police impounded both vehicles.
