Press meeting: Governor ‘will work with everyone’

Sardar Latif Khosa says that as representative of the federation he would try to work with “everyone”.

LAHORE:
During his first meeting with the press as governor, dressed in a black tuxedo, Sardar Latif Khosa once again said that as representative of the federation he would try to work with “everyone”.

“Politics of confrontation will be put on the backburner,” he added. When asked about threats of confrontation by the PML-N, Khosa said that “collective wisdom” of major parties was required to handle the issue. The governor said that the country was recovering from a dictatorship and that there needed to be two or three elections before the democratic system could be termed strong. On construction of dams, including the Kalabagh Dam, he said that there should be a consensus amongst the provinces.

Khosa assured journalists that he had had “very positive” conversations with the PML-N. “Nawaz Sharif told me that I should consider Shahbaz Sharif a brother, that he would be there for the governor at all times,” journalists were told by the governor.
