QUETTA:
Provincial authorities in Balochistan declared bounty on the heads of notified terrorists on Thursday and renewed an offer of reconciliation to the dissident Baloch leaders.

“The door of negotiations has not been closed for anyone, but no terrorist activities will be tolerated in Balochistan,” Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri told the media following his visit to Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

“Head money has been declared for dangerous terrorists,” he said referring to militants belonging to banned secessionist outfits. The head money of other terrorist groups’ heads would be declared in different phases, he said.

Regarding Baloch dissidents living in self-imposed exile, he said that those sitting abroad should not lead the youth astray and come back to fight elections. “If they (Baloch dissidents) fight elections and are able to secure majority votes, the government will respect their mandate.”

Hazarganji bus terminal

In an attempt to ease and even end congestion in Quetta city, the provincial government is moving ahead with shifting bus terminals to the Hazarganji suburb.

CM Zehri on Thursday laid the foundation stone of Karachi bus terminal at Hazarganji bus stop which is part of the upcoming Commercial Complex that will be equipped with all modern needs.

The provincial government is providing a Rs100 million loan to the Quetta Development Authority for the Rs300 million project of the Commercial Complex.

The project will feature inter-city and inter-provincial bus terminals, shops, workshops, restaurants and other basic amenities.
