A woman and a man were killed for ‘honour’ allegedly by the woman’s brother-in-law in Bangla Acha, in Rajanpur district.
Police said Sher Azam, a resident of Bangla Acha, had murdered Aziz Mai, his brother’s 30-year-old wife, and Liaquat Ali, 35, his neighbour. Police said Azam had suspected that they were having an affair. He barged into his house on Thursday and shot Aziz Mai.
He then went to Ali’s house and shot him dead. Police said Azam had fled. “We have taken the bodies to a hospital in Rojhan sub district for post-mortem examination. Police said they had registered a case against Azam and were looking for him.
Residents of the area told The Express Tribune that Aziz Mai’s husband had gone abroad for work and she lived with her in-laws. The bodies of the deceased would be handed to their families after post-mortem examination. Police said they would interrogate members of the families of both the deceased.
