Prosecutor’s security: Court issues notice to interior ministry

RAWALPINDI:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday issued a show-cause notice to the Ministry of Interior for failing to comply with court orders to provide security to FIA Special Public Prosecutor Chaudhry Muhammad Azhar.
ATC judge Rai Muhammad Ayub Khan Marth has sought the ministry’s reply on March 16. The court also re-issued directive to the interior ministry to provide security to the prosecutor.

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday issued a show-cause notice to the Ministry of Interior for failing to comply with court orders to provide security to FIA Special Public Prosecutor Chaudhry Muhammad Azhar.
The court had ordered the ministry to provide foolproof security to Azhar after he failed to appear before the court in the Benazir Bhutto assassination case due to security concerns.
