Collaboration: AIOU to promote French language
Andre De Bussy assured that the embassy will look into the proposals to achieve the desired objectives
ISLAMABAD:
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and French Embassy have agreed to develop cooperative partnership to promote French language in Pakistan. Andre De Bussy, counsellor for cooperation and cultural affairs, French Embassy, visited the AIOU and met Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui to explore avenues of promoting French language in Pakistan through distance or online learning system. He appreciated the AIOU for successfully running French language and assured his support for upgrading it through technical and academic input. Dr Siddiqui sought the support of the embassy for developing state-of-the-art software for teaching French language as well as having the university’s collaboration with its counterparts in France in the education sector. Andre De Bussy assured that the embassy will look into the proposals to achieve the desired objectives.
