Madonna's meltdown in Melbourne
Iconic singer plays concert under influence of alcohol, begs crowd for help
MELBOURNE:
Thousands of Madonna’s Australian fans may have thronged to her concert in Melbourne on Saturday. However, what they saw was surely not what they expected.
The legendary pop star was seen swigging tequila from a fan’s hip flask as she took to the stage, whilst asking the crowd to “please take care of me.” At one point during her performance, Madonna also fell of a tricycle and admitted that she had “messed up” her songs, as reported by dailymail.co.uk. Following this, she joked, “You would think it was in my DNA!”
The 57-year-old has been locked in a bitter custody battle with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie. The former couple has been fighting it out over their 15-year-old son Rocco, who has chosen to live with his father in London.
Philippine bishops say Madonna concert is devil's work
It seemed like Madonna could barely contain her emotions while performing at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and even made an emotional plea to the crows saying, “Somebody take care of me, please. Who is going to take care of me?”
Evidently, Rocco’s decision to move to in with his father has left Madonna in dire straits. The Living for Love singer has dedicated a song to her son as well. “Being cut out of Rocco’s life has hit Madonna hard,” said a source. “It is clear that she blames Guy for this.”
