New order: JI demands merger of FATA with K-P
The leaders termed FCR “an inhumane law that has made the lives of tribespeople difficult.”

Members of JI Fata chapter have urged the government to merge the tribal areas with K-P by declaring them a part of Pata. This was said during a news conference in Jamrud on Sunday. Speakers said Frontier Crimes Regulation should also be abolished and representatives from the tribal areas should be given the autonomy to enforce legislation. The leaders termed FCR “an inhumane law that has made the lives of tribespeople difficult.” According to JI leaders, FCR should be replaced with the law of the country, as according to Article 1 of the Constitution, the tribal areas are part of Pakistan. They said tribal areas should be declared a tax-free zone.
