After Donald Trump's Chicago rally got postponed amid security concerns caused by anti-Trump protests, his son Donald Trump Jr took to Twitter to mock the protesters.
Trump Jr called the protesters inarticulate, compared to Trump's supporters.
It's pretty embarrassing. Trump supporters were articulate and the antis could barely speak and had no answers. https://t.co/FIhnHkEXDG

Trump Tower protesters slam US candidate's 'fascism'
His tweets caught the attention of American singer, John Legend who could not stand the mockery of anti-Trump protesters. Legend responded to Trump Jr to clarify why the protesters were there.
.@DonaldJTrumpJr I think they were protesting your racist father. This isn't complicated.

The Grammy-award winning singer then replied to “Trump trolls” who were accusing him of being racist with an article from The Daily Beast about Trump's history of racism. The article reveals that Trump allegedly used a secret “racial code” for his buildings during the 1970s to indicate if a prospective tenant was black.
At the time, Trump strenuously denied these allegations as “ridiculous”. “We have always maintained the respect and admiration of not only our tenants but the community as a whole,” he said. “Our organisation has never discriminated and does not now discriminate.”
However, one rental agent at Trump’s Tysens Park Apartments said that he’d been told by Fred Trump himself not to rent to blacks.
Trump Jr dismissed Legend's comment about racism saying, "That can't be the answer for everything you don't like."
Here we go again. That can't be the answer for everything you don't like. That's why the country is so divided now! https://t.co/BFh3XNsl7F

'Trump is disgusting': Skywriters slam White House hopeful
According to Independent, the singer hit back saying, "It's just the answer when racist racists are saying racist (expletive) and are endorsed by the KKK."
A user siding with Trump, entered the Twitter feud when he accused Legend of having "no education."
He was soon silenced by the singer, when Legend pointed out that he had graduated from the same university as Trump Jr. The musician graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999, while Trump Jr graduated from the university's Wharton School a year later.
.@DanielT03571138 @DonaldJTrumpJr the Donalds and I graduated from the same University, funny enough.

Chrissy Teigen, Legend's wife, also chimed in by tweeting: “John Legend got em.”
She didn't stop there, however. She later pointed out the irony in Donald Trump not being able to correctly spell the word 'politician.'

Just when we thought the Twitter war was over, Legend tweeted a news article about him calling Trump racist, pointing out that Trump being racist is not news - it's an obvious fact according to the singer, as obvious as the colour of the sky.
This is not controversial. This is not news. The sky is blue. https://t.co/TZCmZEpyyS

Biden slams Trump's 'dangerous' anti-Mexico rhetoric
A statement issued by Trump's campaign after the rally was postponed said: “Mr Trump just arrived in Chicago and after meeting with law enforcement has determined that for the safety of all of the tens of thousands of people that have gathered in and around the arena, tonight’s rally will be postponed to another date. Thank you very much for your attendance and please go in peace.”
