Week-on-week: SPI falls 0.13%
SPI for the combined income group rose 3.12%

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended March 10 registered a decline of 0.13% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 206.19 points against 206.46 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group fell 0.12% from 214.49 points in the previous week to 214.24 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group rose 3.12%. During the week, average prices of 14 items fell in a selected basket of goods, prices of 11 items rose and rates of remaining 28 goods recorded no change.
