Mandviwalla upon his election said, “I am humbled by the trust reposed in me to take up the responsibility that has been ably handled by my predecessors former chief justice of Bhutan, the honourable Lynpo Sonam Tobgye, and chief justice of Nepal, the honourable Kalyan Sheresta.”

“There is a need to harmonize our national laws, and work for the development of regional policies and laws where issues are of regional dimension.  I look to work with international and regional organizations to forge mutually beneficial partnerships,” he added.
