On duty: Neighbourhood watchman shot dead
Salamat tried to stop the men but they shot at him and fled
FAISALABAD:
A neighbourhood watchman was shot dead allegedly by robbers in a Nishatabad police precinct on Tuesday night. Police said Salamat, a resident of Chak 8-JB, Panjgrain, was on duty as a watchman at night when some men broke into a resident’s house. Salamat tried to stop the men but they shot at him and fled. Police said Salamat had died on the spot. His body was taken to a mortuary for autopsy.
