Gambling habit : ‘My sister was sold for Rs200,000’
They said during initial interrogation, Khan Muhammad had confessed to the crime

Police have arrested a man accused of selling his wife for Rs200,000, “to feed his gambling habit”. Saddar police said the woman’s brother had filed a complaint saying that his sister had gone missing and he believed that her husband and his father had ‘sold’ her. Police said Sajjad Ahmad, a resident of Chak 110-P, had filed a complaint saying that his 25-year-old sister had married Khan Muhammad, a resident of the same village, two years ago. He said that Khan Muhammad was a habitual gambler and was often broke. Ahmad accused Khan Muhammad and his father of selling his sister to a man in Sindh for Rs200,000. Saddar police have arrested Khan Muhammad and started investigations. They said during initial interrogation, Khan Muhammad had confessed to the crime. Police said they were looking for the other nominated suspects.
