Shivratri: Hindu pilgrims celebrate festival

CHAKWAL:
Over a hundred Hindu pilgrims from India visited the Katas Raj Temple in Cahkwal to celebrate Shivratri festival on Monday. Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairperson Siddiqul Farooq hosted lunch for the pilgrims. Speaking on the occasion, Farooq highlighted the need for improved relations between Pakistan and India.
He said ETPB was building a complex to provide accommodation to Hindu pilgrims who visit Pakistan to celebrate various festivals.
He said the government was also working for maintenance and preservation of religious sites of Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan.

He said they would go back to India with the message of love between the two countries.
A total of 102 pilgrims are visiting Pakistan for Shivratri festival. They will spend two days at Katas Raj Temple.
