Towards reforms: Three-day medical education conference concludes
Dr Muhammad Daud said KMU and health department should set an agenda for overall reforms in the health sector

A three-day international conference on medical education organised by Khyber Medical University (KMU) and Association for Excellence in Medical Education (AEME) concluded in Hayatabad.
This was stated in a press release issued on Sunday. There were six parallel sessions held on the last day where doctors and professors from across the country and from abroad presented papers on topics like community health services, ethics research and assessment, globalisation, professional development, and learning.
Ophthalmologist Professor Dr Muhammad Daud Khan said, “The image of Pukhtuns as only gun lovers has been changed as the event showed if opportunities are provided, we are capable of becoming role models in all fields of life.”
Daud also said standardisation in medical education was the need of the hour and by introducing reforms in this education, future challenges can be met. According to the document, Daud said KMU and health department should set an agenda for overall reforms in the health sector.
