After a lull of a week, another case was registered against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and 23 leaders of the party by a man against his speech on sex education.
Besides the MQM chief, other party leaders, including members of the parliament and the party's candidate for Karachi's mayor, were also nominated in the FIR registered at Malir City police station on Saturday.
Altaf has been charged by a man, named Abdus Salar Khan, a resident of a katchi abadi in Malir City, over his recent video, in which he spoke about the process of conception in what is being said to be explicit language. "I was surfing YouTube about the current affairs of the country when I found his vulgar speech," said the complainant in his recorded statement.
District Malir SSP Rao Anwar confirmed the registration of the FIR and said that other MQM leaders, including members of the parliament and the party's candidate for Karachi mayor, were also nominated in the FIR.
SSP Anwar said that the case has been registered while further investigations are underway.
