Finding solutions: Committee formed to secure gas royalty
Participants agree to respect each other’s ideologies

Leaders from various political parties have constituted a committee to adopt a consensus on a variety of rights and privileges of the people of Hangu district, including steps to secure royalty on gas for development in the region
This decision was made at an all-parties conference held under the auspices of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl in Hangu on Saturday. Participants at the conference discussed issues faced by residents of Hangu. Challenges involved in securing gas royalty and concerns over its utilisation were also discussed.
During the moot, a committee comprising representatives from all political parties was constituted and the district nazim was appointed as its chairperson. The committee will meet officials, especially in federal and provincial governments, to discuss the problems faced by the residents of Hangu.
Mutual respect
Participants agreed to respect each other’s political ideologies through separate resolutions. They also decided to work on grass-roots level and strengthen understanding among party workers. Leaders vowed to arrange training workshops for workers as well as elected representatives of local government institutions.
Through another resolution, the APC urged all elected members of the Parliament from the area to become united for the interests of the people in Hangu.
The conference was chaired by JUI-F leader and district nazim Akhunzada Mufti Ubaidullah, tehsil council nazim Aamir Ghani, Awami National Party’s Pir Haider Ali Shah, Syed Ibne Ali, Gul Sahib Shah and Qabal Shah, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Fareed Muffakir and Malik Khalid Naeem, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Sadiqur Rahman, Farmanullah Bangash and Farid Singh.
