Infrastructure: Railways upgrades Karachi Express
Karachi Express will have four air conditioned business coaches
KARACHI:
Pakistan Railways has upgraded Karachi Express train, Pakistan Railways-Karachi Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO) Nasir Nazeer informed on Friday. He said the inauguration of Karachi Express will be held on March 15. The train will depart every day from Karachi to Lahore and Lahore to Karachi at 5pm and will reach its destination at 11am the next day. Nazeer said the train will be launched with new facilities such as LED TVs, wifi, curtains, mineral water and a separate staff for maintenance in each coach. The train will have the capacity of 800 passengers. Karachi Express will have four air conditioned business coaches, eight economy class coaches and one air conditioned sleeper coach. When asked about the change in fares of the said train, he said that besides equipping the Karachi Express with modern facilities, no change in fares had been made.
