Pakistani fan reportedly harassed after loss to Bangladesh

Mohammad Bashir, who travelled to Mirpur to watch the Asia Cup match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, was harassed by spectators and forced to wear the Bangladeshi flag after his team’s loss on Wednesday.

Photographs emerged on Facebook confirming Bashir’s situation, wearing Bangladeshi flag, in front of Elias Uddin Mollah – a political figure in Bangladesh’s ruling Awami League.

Bashir, who travels around the world with Pakistan cricket team, was reduced to tears.

According to reports, Mollah had urged spectators to wrap Bangladesh’s flag around Bashir.

The helpless Pakistani cricket fan couldn’t do much to protest against the number of spectators.
