Sustainable development: Nawaz says focused on social sector
PM Nawaz said his government has enabled the country to march towards economic and social development

A top official of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) appreciated the leadership role of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in initiating infrastructure projects which will improve connectivity and socio-economic development for the entire region. China Pakistan Economic Corridor will bring prosperity not only for Pakistan but the region as well, said Under Secretary General UNESCAP Dr Shamshad Akhtar during a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at PM House on Wednesday. PM Nawaz said his government has enabled the country to march towards economic and social development. “We are focused on social development,” the prime minister extending his appreciation that a Pakistani woman has reached such a high and prestigious level at UNESCAP.
