Industrialisation: K-P minister pushes for cheaper energy
The minister said that poverty and unemployment were the big challenges being faced by people in K-P

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Power and Elementary Education Muhammad Atif Khan has directed authorities to come forward with cheap hydel power generation schemes to develop the industrial sector of the province. He issued these directives while chairing a review meeting of Energy and Power schemes in Peshawar on Wednesday. He said that generation of cheap electricity would not only strengthen the economy but would also help in eradicating poverty and unemployment. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that poverty and unemployment were the big challenges being faced by people in K-P, adding that the only solution available for these issues was massive industrialisation in the province.
