In custody: Four suspects arrested in Bannu
CTD raided their hideout and recovered the abductees

The counter-terrorism department (CTD) has arrested four people in various raids in Bannu on Monday.

The counter-terrorism department (CTD) has arrested four people in various raids in Bannu on Monday.
According to a handout issued by the department, they have been identified as Zakiullah, Kamran, Niaz Muhammad and Azizur Rehman. The suspects hailed from Ghazni Khel and Shah Hassan Khel areas of Lakki Marwat.
“Zakiullah and Kamran were father and son involved in various kidnapping for ransom cases,” stated the handout. As per the document, both father and son allegedly kidnapped a man identified as Siddiqullah and demanded Rs3.5 million as ransom for his release.
When his family refused to fork up the money, the accused kidnapped Siddiqullah’s nephew Zahidullah.
CTD raided their hideout and recovered the abductees. Police have registered cases against the suspects.
