Operational preparedness: ‘Pakistan has the world’s best army’

Army chief General Raheel Sharif called Pakistan Army “the best army in the world” while witnessing military exercises in the Cholistan desert on Friday.
“With achievements in the ongoing war on terror and our standard of conventional war training, ours is the best army,” he was quoted as saying by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The army chief was visiting the training area of the Multan Corps, where large- scale offensive and defensive maneouvres were under way, the military’s media wing said. He also witnessed the exercises of the Bahawalpur Corps, which ended of Friday, earlier in the day.
Speaking to troops, Gen Raheel said, “We have to remain ready for the full spectrum of a threat.” He said that the morale of the troops was sky high.
The army chief also had an aerial view of the offensive manoeuvres during the military drills onboard a combat attack helicopter.
