A flight of fantasy
Amanda Peet wants to play swordswoman in ‘Game of Thrones’
LOS ANGELE:
It seems like Amanda Peet is just as beguiled by HBO’s hit drama Game of Thrones as the rest of us and rightfully so, considering her husband David Benioff is its co-creator.
The Hollywood beauty recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to speak about her own television series Togetherness. Instead, she ended up admitting that she would want to be a part of the acclaimed fantasy series and that too, in the role of a swordswoman, reported a statement. Upon this, the show’s host Colbert also excitedly exclaimed, “I want to be on the show too! I haven’t watched much of it but I have read the books.”
The lastest teaser for 'Game of Thrones' season 6 will give you goosebumps
The popular talk-show host went on to share his personal experiences with George RR Martin’s books and the subsequent television show. “I am trying to finish all the books before I read anything about it,” said Colbert. “But I have watched like, one episode while my kid was in the room and then I was like, ‘No, I can’t watch this episode,” he added, referring to the show’s elaborate depiction of blood and violence. To this, Peet responded, “No, no you can’t.” Both Peet and Colbert shared that once they make it on Game of Thrones, they would like to die “a really horrific death,” much like many of the previous characters of the show.
The sixth season of Game of Thrones is slated to release on April 24, worldwide. IANS
