On the feminine side
Clothing brand Kayseria launches 30 prints from upcoming lawn collection
LAHORE:
Kayseria’s summer lawn collection has arrived, bringing with it floral and feminine prints the brand is known for, splattered with vibrant colours. An offshoot of a leading local textile house, the brand focuses on ‘magic in prints,’ while others take the embellishment route. The label has graduated from being a sister brand to Bareezé and becoming an entity in itself, with its own design aesthetics.
Kayseria Creative Head Waleed Zaman has utilised his art education to the fullest and created prints that appeal to people across the board. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Zaman revealed what the inspiration behind this season’s prints was. “This time, the lawn is very different because we decided to go back in history and do a little bit of soul searching, see what really made Kayseria special,” he said. “We saw that seven to eight years ago, our prints had a really beautiful and feminine feel to them.”
Ainy Jaffri and the road less travelled
Zaman further added that after experimenting with truck art and bold prints over the past few years, the brand now aims to celebrate the feminine spirit. In this connection, they launched 30 new prints at an exclusive viewing held at their Johar Town outlet on Monday. They will further be releasing another 120 over the course of the summer. Brand manager Yasser Irfan, shared, “We are going to drop four to five designs every week and then 60 prints in March, followed by our Eid and winter lines.”
Kayseria’s line-up includes simple, unembroidered fabric as well as embellished suits and single shirts, with prices falling between Rs990 and Rs8,000.
