SUKKUR:
Men from the Lolai tribe organised a demonstration outside the Mirpur Mathelo DPO’s office on Monday, against the kidnapping of two tribe members.
Jameel Ahmed Lolai and his friend, Alamgir Lolai, were kidnapped by armed men on Sunday within the limits of Khambhra police station. Protesters, led by Manzoor Lolai and Gul Hassan Lolai, protested against the police and demanded the recovery of the kidnapped men.
According to Jameel Lolai’s elder brother, Manzoor, a notorious bandit, Boro Machchi, was behind the kidnappings.
Machchi’s men had called the family today, demanding two million rupees as ransom. Manzoor made an appeal to the police, asking them to find the suspects and recover the victims because the family cannot afford to pay the ransom.
The Ghotki DPO was not available for comment.
