Want of evidence: Drug trafficking accused acquitted

RAWALPINDI:


An anti-narcotics court on Monday acquitted a woman accused of drug peddling.


Lela Shaheen was arrested by Anti-Narcotics Force
in July 2015 with 2.5 kg heroin.


Her counsel Raja Qasim Ali, however, maintained that there was no evidence against his client.


The court accepted the argument and acquitted the accused.
