Policeman’s murder: Suspected target killer nabbed
The police said that the challan had been prepared and sent to prosecutor general’s office in Lahore

Counter-terrorism department (CTD) of the Punjab Police have arrested a suspected target killer believed to be involved in the killing of a police constable. Abdul Wahid, the suspect, has been arrested in connection with the target killing of Adnan Aziz, the constable. He was attacked within the jurisdiction of Waris Khan Police Station. Duty civil judge Awais Khan sent the suspect on four-day physical remand. The same court also extended judicial remand of Qasim Muawia, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in the attack on slain Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada, till February 29. CTD had arrested Muawia and obtained his physical remand from the court on September 29 last year. Police are yet to produce charge-sheet against him in the court. The police said that the challan had been prepared and sent to prosecutor general’s office in Lahore. Attock police had registered the case on August 16, 2015.
