The Rangers claimed on Monday to have apprehended two members of the banned Peoples Amn Committee (PAC) for their alleged involvement in over one dozen cases of extortion.

The arrest of the suspects, identified as Munawar and Rafiq, was disclosed during a press conference by Lt Col Laiq Baig at 82 Wing Headquarters on Monday evening. Baig said the PAC members were nabbed during a raid in Landhi. "They were arrested after ground monitoring and technical surveillance," he said, adding that "so far they have confessed to over dozen acts of extortion."
