Routine policing: Police arrest 341 suspects in fortnight
Another 149 were arrested for “disrupting peace”
ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad Police on Sunday said to have arrested 341 suspects and recovered stolen goods worth Rs22 million in the past fortnight. A statement issued by the police, said of 341, 45 we arrested for snatching valuables while 32 were nabbed for their involvement in burglaries and theft cases. Police also recovered six stolen cars during the period. A total of 22 persons were held for possessing illegal weapons. Police recovered 21 pistols, a gun and 83 rounds from them. Further, 30 suspected drug pushers were arrested with a total of 6.4 kg hashish, 600 grammes of heroin, and 272 bottles of liquor. Another 149 were arrested for “disrupting peace”.
