Emraan Hashmi announces title of new book based on his son’s battle with cancer

Actor Emraan Hashmi has penned a book which sheds light on his five-year-old son, Ayan’s struggle with first-stage cancer. In the book, titled The Kiss of Life: How A Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer, Hashmi unravels the story of the hardships faced by him and his family during Ayan’s illness.
The actor announced the title on Friday and thanked his co-author Bilal Siddiqi for helping him with the novel. “So happy to announce the title of my book, The Kiss of Life: How a Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer. Thank you everyone, for supporting me through this entire journey,” Hashmi tweeted. Bollywood actors such as Nargis Fakhri were quick to respond to his Twitter post and showed eagerness to read the book. “This is awesome. I want a copy too. Where can I buy it?” tweeted Fakhri.

The book will be published by Penguin Books India in three different languages. “It will release in English, Hindi and Marathi. I will update you all on the release dates soon,” shared Hashmi. “The last two years have been the most trying phase of my life. Through it, I have found two of my greatest teachers: cancer and my son,” he added earlier.
On the professional front, Hashmi is currently busy with the filming of Azhar, a biopic on former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, as well as Raaz 4.
