NAB independence: PTI lawyer files plea against Nawaz

Advocate Gohar Nawaz Sindhu said that the court should restrain the PM from interfering in the affairs of the NAB

LAHORE: A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s lawyer has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking restraining order against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for allegedly undermining the independence of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Advocate Gohar Nawaz Sindhu in his petition said that the court should restrain the PM from interfering in the affairs of the NAB. He stated that the NAB is an independent institution and has the powers to hold investigation against any person suspected to be involved in corrupt practices.
