SUKKUR: Commissioner Muhammad Abbas Baloch has directed health officials to point out officials who are not taking interest in the anti-polio drive, so action can be initiated against them. He issued these directives to officials of the provincial health department, World Health Organisation (WHO), Unicef, Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiative and other organisations during a meeting. “Making the anti-polio drive a success in Sukkur district is a challenge for us,” said Baloch, adding that there are no security issues; instead, administrative mismanagement is the reason behind its failure. He asked the WHO and other health officials to pinpoint any problems they face during the campaign, besides naming the persons responsible for causing these difficulties.
