Embezzlement Case: NAB stopped from arresting contractor

The lawyers requested the bench to stop NAB from arresting the contractor

PESHAWAR: A two-member bench of the Peshawar High Court has stopped National Accountability Bureau from arresting a contractor accused of embezzling millions of rupees during his work in NA-34, Swat. The court has also issued a notice to NAB, asking for a reply on the matter. The lawyers, Akbar Khan Mohmand and Gohar Rehman Khattak, told the bench of Justice Said Afsar Shah and Justice Ghazanfar Ali on Tuesday that NAB started investigating the contractor. Meanwhile, the contractor voluntarily returned the amount to the bureau and submitted an application, NAB rejected. The lawyers requested the bench to stop NAB from arresting the contractor.
