One of the most prestigious award events, the 58th Annual Grammy Awards held on Monday night saw a host of winners taking home the lucrative award.

Record of the Year: Uptown Funk
The Record of the Year was awarded to Bruno Mars' upbeat hit Uptown Funk, beating nominees Blank Space by Taylor Swift, Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran and Cant Feel my Face by The Weeknd.
Album of the Year: 1989
Taylor Swift's album 1989 outshined nominees To Pimp a Butterfly (Kendrick lamar) and The Weeknd's Beauty Behind the Madness.
Song of the Year: Thinking Out Loud
Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud bagged Song of the Year, which was up against Taylor Swift's Black Space and Lamar's Alright.

Best New Artist: Meghan Trainor
Best New Artist was awarded to Meghan Trainor, who's empowering single, All About That Bass took over radio stations all over the globe.
Best Pop Solo Performance: Thinking Out Loud
Ed Sheeran bagged yet another award for his hit Thinking Out Loud, beating Taylor Swift and The Weeknd once again, and even Ellie Goulding for her Fifty Shades of Gray song, Love Me Like You Do.
Best Pop Duo/Group Performance: Uptown Funk
Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk left behind Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Florence and The Machine, as well as Wiz Khalifa with its win for Best Group Performance.
Who wore it better? Katrina Kaif or Taylor Swift
Best Pop Vocal Album: 1989
Florence and The Machine and Kelly Clarkson were no match for Taylor Swift's 1989, which received seven Grammy nominations.
Best Dance Recording: Where Are Ü Now
Justin Bieber's Where Are Ü Now beat Kendrick Lamar's Never Catch Me, disappointing Lamar once again, who seemed rather hopeful with 11 Grammy nominations at the start of the night.
Best Dance/Electronic Album: Skrillex And Diplo Present Jack Ü
Skrillex beat The Chemical Brothers who had been nominated for Born in the Echoes.
Best Rock Performance: Don't Wanna Fight
Alabama Shakes who were contending with Florence and The Machine as well as Foo Fighters, won Best Rock Performance for Don't Wanna Fight.
Best R&B Performance: Earned It (Fifty Shades of Gray)
The Weeknd's Earned It, which was part of the Fifty Shades of Gray soundtrack won best R&B Performance knocking J Cole out of the park who was nominated for Planes.
Best R&B Song: Really Love
D'Angelo & Kendra Foster won Best R&B song for their single, Really Love who were up against The Weeknd and Tyrese Gibson.
Best Rap Performance: Alright
Kendrick Lamar's 11 Grammy nominations finally started to materialize as he bagged Best Rap Performance for Alright, leaving Fetty Wap's Trap Queen and Drake's Back to Back behind. Kanye West who claimed he wouldn't attend the Grammy's unless he was guaranteed to win, also lost out in the category when his performance for All Day didn't bag the award.
Best Rap Song: Alright
Up against Trap Queen and All Day, Alright won yet another award.
Best Rap Album: To Pimp A Butterfly
Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly won Best Rap Album.
Best Music Video: Bad Blood
Bad Blood (Taylor Swift Featuring Kendrick Lamar) up against Alright and Freedom, won Best Music Video.
