Development project: Funds approved for new varsity campus

It is being constructed by the financial assistance of Saudi Arabia under Saudi Development Fund programme

The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Monday approved seven development projects worth Rs520m for the King Abdullah University Campus Chatter Kalas of the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) on recommendations of the Higher Education Commission.


The amount would be spent to construct an 11 KV electricity grid station, boundary wall, water filtration plant, indoor sports complex and to purchase furniture and buses for the under construction campus. It is being constructed by the financial assistance of Saudi Arabia under Saudi Development Fund programme.


UAJK Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khawaja Farooq Ahmad thanked CDWP and HEC for releasing the funds and assured that the money would be used under strict financial monitoring system.
